I've been meaning to do a font post for awhile now and I'm kinda procrastinating today so it seemed like a good time to do one :) And then because I'm me (and I like to share, and because I don't actually make a lot of icons with text in them - I seriously had to go trolling for some of these) I thought I'd get everyone involved

And a number more I'm too lazy to remember where I found but there's this great hack with Google where you can find commercial fonts for free here so basically just use the Google Fu and all will be found. I've gotten some great stuff that way. (Plus I am quite the master of Google Fu, I can find anythang~.) So if you've been dying for a font, this will likely help you find it somewhere on the internet tubes!

Hee, I completely agree - my font collection is starting to look a little scary - and I have so many I'm always forgetting what they all look like ;D

I know, I almost need to make a little self-guide and have the fonts in little samples I can actually see, PS is too small a preview in the font selecting area. I have horrible eyesight. So images where the font is readable would be nice. Either that or I need to delete ones I never use.
I also have a fair collection of "Fandom" fonts. Like the Terminator font, the Batman one, BSG one, Buffy, Stargate, Farscape, XF, etc. In case I want to do a parody like say Fringe, BSG style. Badaboom. (Which I technically am, I plan on making a vid where Fringe is done like the BSG credits and where it goes FRINGE at the end, it'll be in the BSG font! Hah!)

All hail the Google Fu! It is so handy when something is supposed to be commercial but it is always somewhere out there for free! Muhahaha. You're welcome!

Yeah, that's a good idea - I've seen some posts where people have posted large banner-like images where they've just written the name of the font in the font - so heaps of fonts but all readable (does that make sense, I confused myself writing it?)

Oh, I love fandom fonts - I feel a bit weird using them in icons, but I'm always using them in other stuff. And I would totally watch that vid :)

I love finding free stuff, google is king :)

Man I miss Better off Ted, they've just starting re-running it here in NZ - soooo happy!
