I am the "main idea" person - even if I have *literally just* seen something, the likelihood I will get the quote exact regarding dialogue is quite slim (ask jackwabbit). That said, I can usually summarize okay. so I generally can come up with "adjacent ideas" like "makes the bread darker." But yeah; sometimes, it's all about the charades.

One of my favourite quotes on the subject, which is very close to me (my father having died of early-onset Alzheimer's):
"Alzheimer’s is not about forgetting where you laid the keys. It’s about forgetting what keys are for."
Put another way: don't worry about the inevitable spots of aphasia, as long as you don't find yourself standing in the kitchen, where you went to get something to drink, wondering what the great big white square thing is and how it opens. (True event.)
