In the middle of Belladonna by Anne Bishop. I finished Sebastian and went straight into Belladonna. I like the world in these books. I'm anxious to see how the upheaval is resolved!

I picked up Sebastian (I think around 2 years ago) after reading about it in violetvision78's lj. Thanks violet! It took me a while to actually get to it but I'm happy I learned about ( Read more... )

I read Sebastian but didn't enjoy it. I really thought I would considering how much I love fantasy. To each their own...

Well, it's not your regular fantasy, either. The idea of how magic works is so different and the 'bad guys' aren't other beings but rather black/bad emotion so it's definitely something that you either like or don't.

I finished the third book, too, and I will admit that I was not satisfied with how it went. In fact, Sebastian was my fave of the 3 and if there is a 4th book I will most likely not pick it up.

I remember it being so completely different and thinking that was likely why I didn't love it.

I liked Sebastian. I enjoyed how they used magic and your own mind to bring things about.

I am reading Skinwalker by Faith Hunter now. Love it!!! She kills rogue vamps and is a secret Cherokee Skinwalker who laughs at unappropriated times and has an animal's spirit trapped in her body that takes over when she turns into a panther. Her motorcycle rocks. heeheheheee

Jane Yellowrock is awesome! I've read Skinwalker, Blood Cross and Mercy Blade. I have #4 here waiting its turn. This is a great series. One of the better ones to come out, in my opinion. :)

Wait 'till you meet some of Jane's men!

OK! I am all caught up on the books. I even read the one called Have Stakes Will Travel with the short stories in it. I liked reading it from her friend's POV. Now, I can't wait for the next one to come out!!!

I am reading Drop Dead: A Lawson Vamp Bonus Story to see if I like Jon F. Merz writing or not.

Did you read the short stories in Cat Tales? Those were great, too. I liked how we find out how she met Molly and family.
