Unwanted

What is the little kink...or quirk...in human nature that causes people from our past, especially those we are not fond of, to resurface and try to lay claim to our attention again? What makes them think there is some spark left that with a few simple apologies, a friendship...or more...can be rekindled and molded into something new and beautiful? ( Read more... )

I often wonder the same thing myself and I can think of only one word on the part of the unwanted party; regret.

You must also ask yourself what turned a good thing into something to be loathed? I do not forget either but I am told that maybe I forgive more than I should. Perhaps this is my weakness but then again, I believe my temper and my hasty reactions are a bane as well.

However, if you do not doubt how you feel even after time has passed, then it may be better all around to leave that bridge a pile of ash ebbed away by a relentless waters.

I have a great deal of time on my hands. Something I said that I wanted and yet now that I have it, the timing is horrendous on other levels. Everything you've ever heard about greener pastures is a lie and perhaps that makes me more cynical than I should be but nothing seems to balance out at the moment.

I'm trudging my way slowly out of an illness and waiting with baited breath for something to occupy my time again, perhaps fuel my creativity. I do know that sitting around here isn't doing anything for me.

I find myself lately thinking that if the distance weren't so great, I'd invite you to du Monde for the atmosphere and maybe a nice long chat over something to warm our hands.
