My baby is so good to me, even with 4 years of neglect. She's been left in the closet for a full four years and barely needed anything to convince her to play again

Left to your own devices, what kind of music would you play? I ask because (a) I purchased a copy of "middle eastern music for hammered dulcimer" which is fun, and (b) I've spent some time arranging lute duets for hammered dulcimer and guitar.
The first book I always reach for is the St Paul Slow Session Tune Book (primarily Irish, with some Scottish and Welsh in there, too).
I very much enjoy mid-eastern music and would love to take a look at what you've found.
Duets are nifty, and while I'd be interested, I don't want to commit at this time, because I'm excited about a lot of projects and don't want to take on too much and then burn out. Work is still taking a lot of energy, so I'm cautiously adding projects at this time. That being said (i.e. I don't currently have time to learn them in advance), it'd be great fun to play around with them at an event some time. I bet I'd have bunches of time at Crystal Ball while I'm trying not to dance too much. We're also looking at trying to get to more events, in general, so I expect there may be other opportunities as well, provided there is some pre-planning so that I know to pack the dulcimer.
No commitments necessary. I've been treating them as problems in composition (because the hammered dulcimer isn't chromatic). They've been around for a while, and they'll be around if a time comes that you're ready for them.
