Part I > Part II >
Part III Jun flopped down with a tired sigh on his beige couch as soon as he reach his one-bedroom apartment. The genie was still safely tucked inside his bottle and Jun released him from the constrain of his bottle after he took a few deep breath.
Light green smoke came out from the bottle and pooling onto the floor, spiralling upward until it disappeared leaving behind a complete div of Aiba. All the while Jun was staring wide-eyed, blinking only rarely, like watching a freak magic show being played out for real in front of him, only this wasn’t a show, and the scene was indeed as real as it gets’. Even though Jun had witnessed Aiba’s transformation from smoke to a solid figure before, Jun still couldn’t get used to it. Perhaps, he just needed time to adjust to surrealness of the situation.
Aiba stretched his long limbs and appeared to be like being woken up from a deep slumber. The t-shirt that Jun lent to him before they got on a plane hiked up above his navel, revealing some of the skin on his flat stomach. Jun averted his eyes when he realised that he was staring at that patched of skin a second too long.
“Master!” Aiba greeted Jun excitedly after noticing his master sitting quietly on the couch. Aiba jumped on Jun to sit on his lap, wrapping his longs arms around his neck and this time Jun let him, to adjust to Aiba’s presence around him, and because he was too tired to even push him away. Besides, Aiba was so warm, Jun felt calm in an instance, like being enveloped by a warm blanket, making Jun closed his eyes in contentment.
After a few seconds of having Aiba’s head on Jun’s chest, Aiba suddenly lifted his head and looked straight at him, big eyes blinking like a curious child. Jun slowly opened his eyes.
“Where are we?” he asked in wonder, his eyes looking around curiously at the small but neat apartment, suddenly realising that he was already at a new place.
“We’re home now,” Jun answered looking amusedly at Aiba who was already turning his head everywhere, making his shaggy long hair bounced around with every turn.
“Home? It’s our home! It’s beautiful Master!” Aiba exclaimed excitedly, eyes shining brightly, he was bouncing on Jun’s lap obviously showing his happiness to have a home after so long, after hundreds of years trapped in the tiny bottle. Jun grinned, feeling relieved and happy that Aiba seemed to like his apartment and besides, Aiba’s happiness was infectious. Jun gripped the small of Aiba’s back tighter to prevent the genie from falling, making the genie straddled him instead with Aiba’s body dangerously rubbing on Jun’s crotch. Jun had to shift his body a little to put more distant between them. Aiba curled his arms around Jun’s neck loosely and stared at him with shiny eyes.
“So, where is our bed?” Aiba questioned him with a low but innocent tone.
Jun blinked a few times before he could digest the question.
‘Our’ bed? Why the first thing he asks is about the bed?
A few seconds of silence elapsed before Jun’s mind could arrange his thought. Well it was true that he only got one bed but to share it? It won’t probably be a good idea. Aiba might look innocent but he could be dangerous. Jun made a swift scan of him. Well he might not kill him in his sleep but he might be dangerous in another way… well you know other things might happen when they were so vulnerable in their sleep… needless to say he wasn’t a saint either…
No he won’t get to that.
Jun cleared his throat.
“Eh? No, no, no, no, we’re not sharing the bed,” he explained firmly.
Aiba looked shocked for a moment before he dropped his face in disappointment, shoulder sagged dangerously low. The sight made Jun felt slightly guilty. However one part of his brain admonished him for feeling the guilt. He was the master after all, he could set the rule and the main rule in his house was no sharing bed with anyone other than Nino.
“Why, Master? I’m sleepy right now…” Aiba whined like a spoiled child.
Jun was confused for a while. Oh he is just sleepy? And that is why he asks about the bed? But he’s sleepy, again? He thought that Aiba had spent the whole journey sleeping inside his bottle. Jun wondered how much sleep Aiba needed in a day.
“I thought you have just woken up?”
“Yeah, but I want to sleep again… besides, I need to get used to Master’s bed… Can I, Master?” Aiba circled Jun’s neck more tightly as he brought his face closer to Jun’s, pleading him with a husky voice, his puppy eyes were fixed at Jun making Jun’s eyes crossed.
It almost made Jun reconsider his rule. Almost.
“Well… you have your own bed inside your bottle and you can sleep inside it…” Jun drawled. He averted his eyes from looking directly at Aiba so Aiba’s look won’t change his mind.
“But I want to sleep with Master…” Aiba was pouting now.
Oh no, how can Aiba is being so honestly innocent about it?
Aiba didn’t appear to pick up the double entendre the words he just said but Jun couldn’t escape from thinking the double meaning behind the sentence.
If he gave in to Aiba’s demand, he was sure that it would lead to something more. As of currently, he was already traipsing the dangerous water by bringing Aiba home without his boyfriend’s knowledge. He couldn’t aggravated it more but appearing to lead Aiba into thinking that all his demands were okay.
He didn’t mean to be disloyal to Nino, but if he was continuously giving out innuendos such as that, he wondered even a saint would last.
Therefore it was better to nip the bud before it even began. They would only be friends as of right now, and that was that.
“Aiba, we can’t. I’m sure it’s more comfortable to have your bed for yourself and I like my own bed for me. And besides, if you sleep in my bed I might kick you during my sleep. You don’t want that do you?” explained Jun carefully, although it was just a total excuse, and also he had a very good reason for making the excuse, like for the fact that he didn’t want to deliberately inviting Nino’s wrath by sleeping with other guy even if they did nothing but sleep. Nino will kill me if he found out, Jun added in his mind. Speaking of Nino, he should be calling him to let him know that he was home now.
“But Master will be lonely sleeping alone and I’m afraid to be alone too,” said Aiba with a pout, eyes downcast, his finger tracing Jun’s chest, making circles. It felt ticklish. And warm. Damn it! This genie was either too innocent or he definitely knew what he was doing. Jun prayed it was the former. He cleared his suddenly dry throat.
“Er no I hope we won’t… be lonely, I mean… Um… What if I let your bottle stay beside my bed? That way we won’t be that lonely and you’ll always know that I’ll be beside you, hmm?”
Jun wriggled his perfectly-shaped-but-still-slightly-thicker-than-most-people eyebrows, trying to goad Aiba into agreeing with his suggestion.
It took a few seconds of consideration and Jun nearly let a loud breath of relief when Aiba said dejectedly, “Um… alright…”
And then he had to add innocently, “But Master must call me if you’re lonely so we can play together in your bed!”
Jun nodded dazedly. Play together in bed? Rapidly, Jun felt even warmer, he guessed he was blushing when he began imagining Aiba and him playing on his bed, with him on top of a very pliant and naked Aiba, his hand running over the smooth plane of Aiba’s stomach, making Aiba laugh with the tickles of his fingers running above his navel until his hand reach Aiba’s… He shook his head when as sudden as the thoughts came, Nino appeared in his imagination, bursting in while crackling his knuckles, looking red and angry. No, no, no, he won’t allow Aiba to instil inappropriate thought inside his head again. Just remember, he already got Nino to play in bed together and it won’t change anytime soon, hopefully, if he didn’t screw up, he scolded his mind, his chest already feeling warm remembering his moments together with Nino, on his bed. God, he missed Nino.
To reduce more awkward moments with Aiba (although there was no sign of awkwardness in Aiba at all with his cheery nature), Jun decided to show him around his apartment. It didn’t take long but Jun took time to explain all the area since Aiba seemed to have zero knowledge about living in this contemporary world. He divd that Aiba’s home must be different from his own. He was right when Aiba chattered away about his home thousands of years ago (It seemed that genies were long-lived in term of age and grew up slowly too), about their pets that sounded like something from the dinosaur world, about how many family members he lived together during those time (Jun was shocked that it was nearly a hundred of them living in the same place), and Jun was suddenly glad that only Aiba was trapped inside that bottle, if there were more like him Jun wasn’t sure how he would cope.
Jun showed the living area, which was where there were originally (“No jumping on the couch, alright?”), the kitchen (“Don’t ever touch any of the utensils, Aiba!”), the bathroom (“It’s so small, Master!”), the toilet and finally his bedroom (“Don’t sleep on my bed, okay, Aiba?--”).
“…and don’t jump-“
Aiba squealed when he saw his queen-sized bed and jumped on it happily.
“What are you doing Aiba?” Jun asked with both of his hands on his hips, feeling slightly annoyed that the genie didn’t heed his warning not to jump on his bed, treating the bed like his own and making a mess of his bedding when Aiba suddenly got under his cover and made himself comfortable inside it.
“Just getting used to your bed, Master…” Jun saw Aiba’s eyes already drooping, with a big yawn they finally closed and within seconds he snored quietly. Jun watched in baffled and disbelief.
He sat on his bed, close at Aiba’s feet, nudging Aiba to wake up. And after a few insistence nudging that lasted for many minutes, Aiba woke up, stretching his arms and rubbing his eyes. Jun stared at him questioningly.
“Good morning, Master…” muttered the genie sleepily.
“It’s not morning. You’ve just slept a few minutes. Get up now!” Jun was amazed how Aiba looked like he was looking like he had a sleep of his life while in fact he was just sleeping for a brief period.
“Can I have a morning kiss first?” Aiba asked sleepily, motioning Jun to kiss him on his lips.
Huh? This genie is acting like he’s the boyfriend, Jun thought. But Jun had to admit it was tempting though.
“No, no, no. Just get up already. I need to go out in a few minutes,” said Jun, his eyes chancing a glance at his watch, his hand kept nudging Aiba again to make him get out of his bed. Aiba was pouting even more when he failed to get his kiss but Jun was thinking that Aiba would get over it soon when he got distracted by something else later.
Aiba did get up albeit reluctantly but instead of walking he jumped on Jun’s arms and grudgingly Jun had to carry him princess style to his living room and dumped him on his couch. Jun nearly rolled his eyes, watching how clingy his genie could get. Aiba didn’t get angry though when he was thrown on the couch in a-non-careful manner, instead it made him more excited when the fall made his body bounced.
He sprang his body up a few more times, squealing with each rebound, making the couch creaked and Jun immediately regretted his decision to throw Aiba there. This genie was such an airhead. He already forgotten most of Jun’s warnings during the house round, particularly the ‘no-jumping’ part.
However Aiba looked so happy though. His cheeks getting redder with every bounce he made. It seemed that Aiba could turned every simple thing to fun and Jun, in all his straight life was a little bit confused.
Nevertheless, it was amusing to watch, Jun begrudgingly conceded quietly to himself.
So he let Aiba be. He even let Aiba pulled him to the couch to leap with him until Aiba stopped to wrap his body around Jun again and nuzzled his head at the crook of Jun’s neck making himself comfortable there.
A/N: I know this story is getting more ridiculous as the story goes on. Well, we're dealing with a genie after all XP
