So, firstly, how come Dean was Dean and not Lucifer? I assume the painful moments were Lucifer trying to take over, but how was Dean resisting? And will that do him any good in the cage? Will it allow him to escape?
Or maybe the amulet will help? Will Cas think to search for a ritual or spell that will release Dean without releasing Lucifer? Or will God step in as he did by restoring Cas' grace?
Poor Dean, it was so sad to see him doubted by Sam. Michael being confused and unbelieving was one thing, but I can see why Dean would expect Sam to figure it out. I'm glad Cas still saw Dean, even if he couldn't save him. Poor Sam, too. He's going to have a lot of guilt to deal with.
I can't wait to see what happens in chapter three.
