YES. The first icons I have made in like a year heh.
I also have listened to the audio book (I could up it if you want it). It's a tie-in to the movie, basically it's the movie extended. BUT the best part is it's read by Zachary Quinto (him reading as Kirk, his mom, etc. is hilarious!).
I am an interested party inquiring within! I haven't been to a movie since The Day After Tomorrow and that idea kind of makes me want to vomit.
Also, I still remember how amazing our opening night Nemesis viewing was. We saw the collapse of the franchise together, maybe it's only fitting that we see the rebirth of it together, too! :O
The sad thing is that I LIKED Nemesis, and the damn thing STILL flopped! Luckily, fans and non-fans alike pretty much love the movie (unless some die-hards are being douches and complaining over stupid shit because they cannot ever be happy)
I would LOVE to see the movie with you!! I wish your dad could be there, too! Because I'd love to hear what he has to say about it!
I've sent an email to try and coordinate times. Please check accordingly. :)
I can't wait to have the after discussion. And pick up some ICONS.
Also, I just found this hilarious comm: ontd_startrek which may yield some good shit.
ALSO ALSO, WTF, President Obama apparently had this to say in an interview:
And the last movie you saw? Now, movies I've been doing OK [with] because it turns out we got this nice theater on the ground floor of my house … So Star Trek, we saw this weekend, which I thought was good. Everybody was saying I was Spock, so I figured I should check it out and-[the president makes the Vulcan salute with his hand].
Very good. Yes, absolutely.
Did you watch that when you were growing up? I used to love Star Trek. You know, Star Trek was ahead of its time. There was a whole-the special effects weren't real good, but the storylines were always evocative, you know, there was a little commentary and a little pop philosophy for a 10-year-old to absorb.

Did you know that Today Show's Ann Curry had a crush on Spock?

BUT I am happy that this movie has a 'general' appeal to audiences because it means we'll get to see more.

A lot of U.N. stuff.
Yes, exactly, right.

I love how they say, "But that's just not good enough for you, IS IT??" XD It's so bitter...lol...
I keep expecting the song to suddenly get hugely popular now that the movie's out and fangirls are all drooly over Zachary Quinto's bowl haircut.

But right now, he's got a hip haircut...tho I keep telling myself it's only a matter of time before the inevitable bowl cut...
