My class was so agonizingly boring, I ended up doing nearly all the inking for our door nameplates ( Read more... )

Instead of real lamination, you can always cover the pictures with clear contact paper, available at Kmart or Target. It's still protective, and not as unrelentingly glossy.

I wasn't able to comment on the pictures last night because I was on dial-up, but NIIICE! What a fantastic costume!

Hmmm...that's actually a pretty cool idea. I might do that. Except it's been awhile since I've worked with the stuff, if you "miss," and try to peel back some, does it destroy the picture?

I know I'll be killing myself over the anxiety of getting wrinkles in the contact paper...T__T

Also, what aisle can it be found in? The stationary section?

Agh, never replied to this.

As far as I know, it is in housewares. You will see rolls of patterned, opaque paper, but there should be transparent in the same area.

Also, my mother tells me the Kmart in our neighborhood doesn't carry it anymore.

As far as I know... yeah, it probably will mess up the picture. I don't know if it will destroy it, but it might take off some of the top layer, or rip it. You have to go pretty slowly.

Hee hee. Thanks, man.

(and btw, you need to upload yourself some cool new icons! It saddens me that you have none. If you're really that lazy, I'll even send you some ones that I think are funny!)

You could always go the old fashioned way and use hairspray! If your roomies have any, especially something with a fine spray...it's less shiny and it keeps the ink from smearing!

Hm...I've never actually heard of using hairspray. I know about the anti-smudge spray you can get at art and craft stores (which I imagine have the same idea in mind).
