On the night the bridge collapsed, renatamcfarland and I turned off the news after awhile and watched Stranger Than Fiction. What made the biggest impression on her was the concept of speaking to a character you are going to kill off. So what did we do

Wow! This is so great; comparing and contrasting the way we each answered! We both had one character who understood the reason for their death and sort of sympathized with us (particularly when it came to our artistic methods, and the deliberate exclusion of backstory for whatever reason) and one pissed-off irate character who wanted to take us to task. :D

And it's also cool the way we both kind of came to a realization that we could have written the endings a number of different ways.
