Bet most of them will be divorced by 35. Or at least intensely unhappy.

I really respect you for staying true to yourself despite outside pressures. Get yourself that puppy and tell them all to fuck off!

Heh, this is true. What's the divorce rate now, over fifty percent? I've started using those numbers when my parents bring up the marriage thing; but I just get glared at. *sigh*

And the mean old apartment people won't let me get a puppy :(

Weeee!! That will be fun! And I even have a broom already - I'm ready to be the old spinster.

It's just weird, you know - being so uninterested in the whole marriage thing. And really, marriage is just overrated, right? Right.

sounds like someone needs some of my Big Fat Greek Wedding with all the family bustling about and whatnot...

Hee, oh I love that movie. And you could totally replace Greek with Indian and it would be the same movie. But I think a wedding is not in my immediate future, for which much thanks :)

It's okay that you're not ready for marriage - it's for suckers anyway! The single life is way cooler.

Heh, oh no. Usually you start seeing the engagements in college, a lot of people get married right after graduating from college at 22, and definitely by mid-25s a good amount of people are married. The only difference is, a lot of these marriages won't last - the divorce rate here is ridiculously high. last I heard, it's around 50%, and that was a few years ago.

And among the Indian crowd, 25 is a good age according to the parents. Being single at 23-and-a-half means that my parents are very very worried. They really want those grandkids.
