Hooking Up

Jul 22, 2005 13:35

I recently switched up my workout times, and started going to the gym in the evenings. It was just way to warm in the mornings and I was usually not awake enough (and therefore, not stretched out enough) to actually accomplish any sort of workout. Anyway, going in the evenings means that I am now regularly exposed to the joys of primetime ( Read more... )

Wow, your gym actually has variety. The only channel my gym shows is ESPN, and it's usually extremely boring. Good thing the music they play is semi-decent.

I keep forgetting about Hooking Up. It seems entertaining. I've seen the UrineOff commercial during the most random of shows, and I don't think all of them have been aimed at women. That's just a weird product. Who has urine stains all over their house? Yikes.

Hee, it's apparently not just any kind of urine, it's cat urine. At least, that's what the title bar of the website claims. I don't think I'd want to visit a house where Urine Off was a regularly purchased item.

I've mastered the art of reading while elliptical-ing. That and my headphones are the only way to get through some days.

My Bally's shows the same channels too! Except I usually go in the afternoon, so the ABC soaps are on, or sometimes they'll switch it to MTV so we can watch TRL.

I was meaning to watch Hooking Up, but I kept forgetting when it was supposed to come on. I see that, judging by the conversations you recapped, I haven't missed anything interesting.

I've never seen that UrineOff commercial, but the whole concept sounds gross. It's just another reason why I will never get a cat.

Hooking Up is...it's worth watching about 5 or 10 minutes of the show, and that's about it. It should be called Desperation, honestly, or "Will Sleep Around for Chance to be on TV."

UrineOff - that was the point where I almost fell off the elliptical, I was laughing so hard. No cats for me; if I ever get a pet, it will be one who goes potty outside.

Hopefully none of us will actually get to this state. Not just desperate, but desperate enough to do it on national TV. Like the epitome of desperation. This is why I'm thinking a nunnery might be a good idea, for me anyway.

During the school year, my life revolves around classes, etc. But sweet summer!

Television programming is best in the evening though - most entertainment potential.

I stopped going to the gym about a year ago but i'm thinking of starting again. I just do everything on my own in the mornings which is getting harder. Switching to evenings doesn't sound half bad.

Hooking up? Sometimes i'm so surprised at the programming that ABC reduces itself to. Every network has some stupid wreck of a reality show.

I'm not a morning person really, so morning workouts are pretty much a no go. The gym is wonderful, and the fact that I'm paying for it is good motivation to going.

Hooking Up is an amusing waste of an hour. It looks like it would only be fun to watch if one was planning on making fun of it. I really hope there aren't people who are actually invested somehow in this crap, the way they get caught up in other reality TV shows.
