"people aren't brave enough to say what has become politically incorrect"
.. so obviously the solution is to post protected messages on LJ ;)
(when I will become the ruler of the world, you will globally be able to get the things you want best by using sarcasm :D)
I think this is a brilliant post. It holds so much truth that it hurts. The absurdity of it all is escaping understanding - deeming it painfully hopeless to expect it ever becoming a common ground for human growth.
We are the same. Yet we are so different.
We think of others through ourselves, perceiving them like us. And in the end we end up making meaning mostly through a few manifestations of our differences.
We believe that we see the whole, that we understand. Which justifies us to fear, fight and and mock that which escapes our understanding.
And in the end we hold so much love to give. But mostly we just end up holding it back, because we don't understand, that we are unable understand.
When I wrote this entry, I left it unpublished for a while because I was not sure I wanted to post it at all. I guess it shows the careful approach my father has so generously imbued my brain with, when it comes to all things publicly accessible, and potentially controversial. I don't mind being open about my spiritual or other beliefs, because I know people don't really take my comments that seriously anyway, and they don't affect anyone but me. But when it comes to political things, I tend to have very distinct opinions and they often brush against the prevailing system.
But yes, this would be best left open to public, especially now as it is very old and no one is ever going to bother reading it - except You of course. Thank You for being so... devoted.
And Thank You for your kind words. They are always welcome.
