Faroe Islands :)

Monday June 27th, probably around 21:30

Somewhere close to a mountain top in the Faroe Islands.

Silence.

Nothing but the wind to surround us.
The wind and my own sounds to fill all the space around.
The small, but newly paved and still soft road we climbed to reach this little spot off the beaten path is right outside the window, but no car has passed since we came back from our little excursion to the mountain.

This morning we docked in Torshavn, around six in the morning (faroese time).
They told us all cabins will receive a notice one and a half hours before we needed to get off the ship. The bikers next door however, had decided to set their own alarm clock. I think they wanted to get some good morning shots of the early sun on Torshavn and the surrounding islands. My guess is that they ended up wondering if the morning mist could have been calculated somehow. But then again, the massive mist we saw as we docked might not have been there an hour earlier.
They made the most amazing noise though. I wonder if they have trained in how to bang all their stuff and helmets together to achieve maximum levels of sound.
As they finally left their room and I sighed 'sleep', of course the early morning loudspeakers roared 'we are docking in one hour. Please notice that your key-cards will no longer work in half an hour.'
We decided to sleep a little more but were soon woken by cleaning ladies talking about how some (me and Walter) were still sleeping.

They made all cars reverse out of the ship.
One of those things I don't find any sense in... but oh, well! Life is perfect how it is, I guess.

We walked into town and then headed up to the park as it was barely 7 on this monday morning, by the time we left Libero, well packed in warm clothing.
Got some shots of a sleepy and shy sun warming a rested city.
We sat on a bench in the park and both dozed off, having slept only a couple of hours, but also as we both found our beings somewhat sleepy and off from their normal state.

Both waking up from a restful sitting, we yearned for some place to lay down on and sleep some more. The stone we chose was too high and swept by such cold wind that we soon decided to walk on.

As we slowly made our way back into the center, we found a little duck land. A pond that had a higher duck population per square meter than downtown human-population in Amsterdam.

We decided to go for coffee and tea at the same place we talked at the first time we really met, about a year ago.
Café Kheops is the name of the place.
The girl behind the counter was so sleepy, yet so smiling, and beautifully wonderful.
30 krona for tea & coffee and some bread. Lovely.

Then off for some small shopping in SMS, the local mall.

There I spent some 301 krona, which seemed huge for the amount we bought.

We headed out of Torshavn, and then did a little off-road test ride with Libero. A big rock road, no longer used.
At first, to me, it seemed a bit stupid, but quickly my doubts vanished and I enjoyed how Libero and Walter handled the road. My trust grew yet a little more.

We found the place I yearned to go to since my last visit to the islands to take pictures. Although we waited for a good while, the skies just didn't clear up.

We drove down a bit further and set Libero on a little resting place and slept. For how long, I have no idea, but it was the most brilliant sleep. I had very powerful dreams but then as I woke up I was surprised. My heart truly filled with a feeling of surprise that this reality was the one I was really waking up to. My heart leapt with joy and Love like it never has before after waking up.
This is truly the greatest choice and journey of my life.

We drove on, turned up this small road to climb to a mountain top with an eerie looking meteo-station of some sort. We parked and after having placed one of the little statues there and taken plenty of pictures, decided to go for a walk. Walter had spotted a place where we could park a little further down and we decided to go inspect it.
On the way, we climbed down a mountain, sat under huge boulders and took pictures of nature spirits.

The road to the spot seemed too rough for Libero and we headed back, concluding that the car was well placed where it is.
On the way back, I found heart-shaped moss with a smily bird poo next to it

Also, a perfect little slice of heaven amidst rumble. It is truly amazing what you can find when you pay a little more attention to where you put your feet.
All around it stone and in the middle some small clay shaped to shade and protect three absolutely perfect flowers. It looked like the manor and garden of little mountain dwarves who like beautiful things.
Simply perfect.

Back in Libero we had some most plentiful faroese bread with some most brilliant soft cheese (cucumber and garlic).

Truly a perfect day.
I sit here on the turned front seat, peaking out into the world while Walter is massaging his feet. It is silent. The whole world seems to have disappeared into a white cotton cloud and we are alone.
Perfectly peaceful, blissful, quiet and all One.
A feeling of total abandonment into our true being, our true self. A trip into ourselves, into our perfection, into joy and pure enjoyment.
Each step is beyond words.
A step, in its purest form.
A breath in existence.
A heartbeat in Love.
Perfect elements, perfect fifth element.
