yeah, I'm with you... Frank likes the show more then I do I think...mostly because Gwen irritates the heck out of me on a regular basis.

I really love the show, but, yeah, Gwen... My friend has a theory that Gwen would be a better character if the writers were more committed to making the show an ensemble show instead of the "Gwen talking to Jack" show.

I have a new theory, based on my reading of the stupid scenes, the Torchwood Captain's Log on BBC America, and my desperation to keep Jack from being a jerk to Ianto. I think that there is something about Gwen that Jack knows (from the future or the past, who knows) so while he really likes her as a person, he really needs her to stay with Torchwood for some greater reason.

The other theory, that has not based in reality at all is that Gwen is Jack's daughter.
