Gross!

What is wrong with this building, anyway? I call false advertising!

It sounds like one of the cleaning charms must have malfunctioned. As for what's wrong with the building, it's a classic example of how magic can lead to more problems than doing something manually if the person casting the spell doesn't know what they're doing.

We always had magic going around in our house as children, and we didn't have all these problems.

Then obviously your parents knew what they were doing.

Oh yes but Wishes do not generally change the truth, unless you are fortunate enough to come across a pair of Dandelions with a spider's web running between them beneath a willow tree in the moonlight after a summer Thunderstorm. And even then you must be facing Southeast when you blow them.

What did the advertising Tell you?

I like to think of Euterpe's Corner as a smaller, more temperamental Hogwarts. You'll get used to it.

Our lease will be up in a year, and perhaps we can find a place with a landlord who knows what they are doing.

Honestly, this makes no sense. Being magical is not enough of an explanation.

I think we might have to. I feel stupid that we obviously did not do enough research on this place before moving in.

Our lease is only a year long.

If nothing else, perhaps a better place could be found in that time...Honestly, I feel the fool for not seeing it for what it was.
