I AM PUTTING A PLACEHOLDER HERE FOR MY COMMENT. I INTEND TO COMMENT A LOT about the amazingness of this.

But uh. I haven't written my fic for today. So perhaps I should do that?

I want to have all the time to flail. So ... just know that I ADORE this and... I'm very excited to be more specific asap.

HOLY TOLEDO, you are the second person in 12 hours to talk to me about the Dovekeepers. IF I EVER FINISH THESE EDITS AND CAN READ A BOOK AGAIN, this is first on the list.

Just make the chocolate chip recipe on the bag of the chocolate chip bag! TRIED AND TRUE. T says the chocolate chip is really the only cookie that needs to exist in the world.

Who else was talking about it? I CANNOT EVEN BELIEVE I DID NOT KNOW OF THIS BOOK'S EXISTENCE.

I mean, Hoffman does have her off days, but overall I basically worship her. So what the eff? I MUST READ IT RIGHT NAO.

You are going to finish the edits. And read many books. EVENTUALLY YOUR OWN. *flails*

Chocolate chip, huh? K, I was trying to be a little more creative than that:P

threeguesses just recced it to me! We were talking about women-in-bible-times fiction, which I love.

AND I'M JUST SAYING, EVERYBODY LIKES A CHOCO CHIP.

Have you read Certain Women?

*pauses to worship at throne of Madeleine L'Engle*

Choco chips are delicious, man. I wish I were motivated enough to make real cut-out Christmas cookies.

I have no idea what you're talking about. This is totally what happened, no doubt! Heh.

"Anthem" is most definitely on my list of top 25 favorite songs of all time. It's poetry. Often I can decide whether I wish people would cover it so the song would get more play, or whether that's a terrible idea because nobody can do it like Cohen.

Probably the latter!

"Tower Of Song" may be my favorite song of all time. I'm aching in the places where I used to play.

I don't know that one! I shall have to listen when I get back from the winter concert.

eta: I listened! It's really really really good, but I am so amused about the philosophical differences between that and "Anthem." Wow, that man can write lyrics. I'm green with jealousy.

I can't write canon at Christmas. Hee, that should be a song or something.

I'm glad you liked that part. I was telling Crys the other day that I just need Jack to say "Hey" on the phone all the time. Hee.

I hope your birthday has been awesome. I'm sure you still have to work, so suck to that, but if you're not celebrating today I hope another time!

Crap, everybody is sick. I know you must be if you're taking off work. Damn, it sounds colder there than here! We're on this ludicrous cold streak that's making me want to kill people.

And hey! Quality time with someone you actually like is a lot better than some stupid party with a hundred of your closest acquaintances. Definitely.

Aw, you read. Your comments make me so smiley:)

I did not know that you have LC lyrics tattooed on you. Which ones?

I'm excited that my tiny blip of Kim worked for you. I stress writing her like woah. And sigh, Renee, my girl. She never got the chance to have any damn fun on the show (save wild sex with Jack, and look where that got her), so I let her have lots of fun in fic, because she is awesome.

AND SO ARE YOU. ♥

I will ALWAYS read (as long as I don't accidentally miss something or life is spinning out of control with craziness.)

I have lyrics from his version of Hallelujah. There's a blaze of light in every word. Out of like all 900 versions of Hallelujah I think that only appears in maybe 3-4 of them. I felt it was so fitting though.

Who knew amazing sex with Jack would end in death. I think 24 was trying to teach the lesson to stay the fuck away from Jack Bauer. Hmmmm.

That is an amazing tattoo. My next one will without a doubt be lyrics or poetry, but I just haven't decided what yet. No rush.

I think 24 was trying to teach the lesson to stay the fuck away from Jack Bauer.

Considering pretty much everybody who came in contact with his wang wound up dead or crazy, I'd say you're right!
