You can't imagine! So many hard-to-find grabbing hand poses! And you really do have lovely hands. I could in theory take my own references too, but I really don't like my hands - they're very small and round and child-like and they don't help me make a stark sketch to work on. So, thanks! :D

Beautiful.

I love the fiery palette and fierce demeanor -- she was, after all, a sun goddess incarnation. And her ornaments, part Scythian, part Byzantine.

Thanks, Athena!

Have you seen the film? It can be actually a little aggravating at times, but it's still interesting - and Callas, who plays the title role, is absolutely regal.

I must have also had Robert Graves' book, Hercules, my Shipmate(?) in the back of my mind. I read it when I was younger, and I think I remember Medea described as having very luminous, golden eyes - a sign of her heritage as a grand-daughter of the Sun god.

What can I say? I'm a sucker for such complex, women-of-power figures. :) I'm also happy with how this one turned out technically.

Heh, thanks! :D The Painter difference is actually in the painterly textures and feel. I tweaked the colours in Photoshop. But with Painter I always go loose and that usually works in favour of the final image.

But yeah, I plan to continue the romance. XD
