can't you see that her hair is giving her so much drag that she is in danger of falling off the swing?

another source of my inspiration: I was watching one of those friends episode repeats; rachel has a phobia for swings, because her hair got caught in a swing when she was young.

i like the silhouette. it has amplified the art in a soft and gentle way.
besides, it was painted in pink, somehow, it gave me a comforting effect as i feel this is a piece of art that portrait sadness in me.

Removing the shadow of the silhouette in the background would make the picture overly plain. Simplicity fits this picture but it can get a bit boring if there is only the silhouette.
But at the same time, the shadow of the silhouette, especially the tips of the hair, extends too much into the rest of the picture.
Maybe a few green leaves (leaving out the shadow) flowing in the direction of her hair could fill up the emptiness of this picture, and at the same time, accentuate the flowing motion in this picture.

i thought the hair wasn't long enough! :P i wanted to emphasize on her hair, that is why I had it slightly off center. i like the idea of the leaves leaving the shadow. it would be leaves that she kicks up from the ground.

maybe i should call this piece 'Memory'. it has that quality and atmosphere...
