Anecdote:
Today in Orgo lab Professor Lamos showed us how you can make a single pipet into a shit-ton of capillary tubes by heating the middle of the pipet over a burner until it gets melty, and then stretching it out real fast so it gets all thin before it cools. The thing is, you can only stretch the glass as wide as your arms are, so the ( Read more... )

XDDDDDDDDDDD Your TMI anecdote is hilarious :)

Also, does Harry even know? And if he does, I wonder if he thinks about the irony of his parents dying on the day of the dead.

I think he knows. I think someone would have told him by now. Also, the date of their deaths was on their grave, wasn't it?

Oh, and did he see Voldie's flashback that included the kids in costumes?

I bet he appreciates the irony. He's cool like that.

I don't think he knows until he gets to Hogwarts at least - I seriously doubt the Dursley's cared enough to tell him. Hagrid may have in SS, I don't remember. In any case, when he's younger he isn't particularly affected by their deaths so much as their being dead, if that makes sense, so I don't think it affects Halloween for him as much, at least not until he's older.

I am of the opinion that he should have visited their graves on Halloween rather than Christmas, but maybe that wasn't feasible with the story.

Oh I didn't think he knew till post DH. I meant... how Harry feels now. Like, today. Cause he's real, grown up, and living in England.

And I totally totally get what you mean about it meaning more to him that they were dead, not when they died.
