Flies must be much less common there than here. It's possible to keep one's home empty of them if you keep the doors and windows closed at all times but not to the point where someone could convince me there wasn't one around if something kept buzzing my head.
It's still winter here so there aren't any flies outside. Also, it's a fruit fly and since it's so small and doesn't make any sound it's really hard to find it when it's not flying around your head.
Anyway, the sister has already decided that I'm just stupid and blind and that there are in fact multiple flies. I've only seen one.
