I am looking for a song, idk the artist, or words to songs, or name of song for that matter, all I know is its by a band that sounds like nickelback but isn't... help me find it so I can cure this disease in my head. :)

Searches for bands that sound like nickleback aren't going to be terribly productive. If you can figure out even a line of lyrics, google would hit all those lyric sites and come up with a decent result.
