I always have such a hard time "buying" elven telepathy. Even in Tolkien it usually strikes me as a cheap device and out-of-character for Middle-earth. The height of chutzpah, I know1 And that's my own personal reaction, nothing to do with your writing. But I mention it to say that this piece overcame my prejudice against said telepathy, and then some. It's a very nice connection between the two characters, and seemed completely believable for both of them.
