I’m a prisoner caught in the middle of a senseless war. That fact alone is not what I’d deem as peaceful or happy. I was supposed to use all my time and energy to investigate and look for allies; however, I’ve found myself in the middle of... other activities that seem to hold more importance than the war itself for everyone ( Read more... )

I'm merely stating some facts.
And that would be alright; I don't usually eat much, anyway.

Pfft~ Look at it as gathering allies, of course~ Socializing is a good way of making allies~?

And if I happen to get a boyfriend along the way, then awesome~

Socializing might be a good way of making allies, but not strictly necessary. Let's not forget we're in a critical situation where many of us have the same goal: to be free from this prison. That fact alone should be enough for people to form alliances and help each other.

Ahh~ but you're forgetting that we're all relatively human-ish people here with emotional needs that must be met~ Socializing fills most needs~

Of course. Nobody said others couldn't socialize.

Yes, that's right. I had counted on this, but I admit that people's attitude has gone beyond my expectations. It's not necessarily a bad thing, just something I wanted to point out.

So a computer you shall be then~! One so twisted up in the circuits of logic that it fails to comprehend all of the data. ^_^

The closer you are to computer logic, the faster, more efficient and less likely chance of making an error.
Human's logic is much more twisted and unperceptive than a computer's, though.

People are very good at adapting to situations, so I have learned. I am not certain it is denial, so much so as that they have accepted their fates.

Perhaps spending time on friendships and relationships will teach you some very valuable things. Spending too much time focusing on the problem at hand may prove to be a downfall, remember that, Near. Do try to enjoy your dinner with Mello, as I assume he is this 'friend'.

L.

I've never intended to focus on my relationship with others, I find such matters quite troublesome when it comes to work. Furthermore, I'm not sure how to proceed in that regard...

This person is Mello, indeed, that's why I don't believe he's purely pursuing to strengthen our friendship.
