Congrats! I sometimes think about trying to make SDCC, but then I remember that NYCC makes me want to punch babies. (and yet I keep going) Well, that and the fact that it is completely on the other side of the country and I already have a friend who goes who is willing to stand in lines for hours to buy toys, so I really have no need to go. But it feels like something I should experience once.
I wanted to go to NYCC so, so bad last year--almost did too, but rl shit came up. I'm actually going like you stated for the experience really, since me and a friend of mine have promised each other we'd go since we were like in high school and now six/seven years later we're finally getting the chance.
Just sucks that we won't see the Avengers but w/e. Lol, it's not really fortune so much as like deep paranoia to the point I was like studying how to get badges.
It was a pretty awesome day for me, though my god was it long. I love close enough I can drive for the day, but this year coming up I may try and actually stay up in NYC for the whole weekend. And this all makes me think I should do research into seeing if the Avengers is going to have an NYC premiere and if so when and where.
Still, it is pretty exciting to be going to the big one, like an epic fangirl road trip.
