help me LJ-land, you're my only hope..

I have substantial leaking in my basement. I need a consultaion with a leak expert about what to do. anyone ever have any work done by someone they'd recommend?

I dont know anyone out in madison that does it but most of the foundations in my neighborhood are brick. you need to find where it's seeping in or if the drains are just backing up. if it's seeping there are probably cracks in the foundation or the mortar has worn away. you can do some tuck pointing if it's brick and if it's severe you might need to dig out your poundation and wrap it do there isn't any leakage. the guy that lives across the street from me had to duig out one half of the foundation and tuck point the entire thing then he coated it in a rubber sealer before backfilling

I have not worked with anyone, but after you left the store yesterday my brain kicked in. My father was a facilities manager for a ridiculous amount of time. I am sure he would know someone he could recommend as doing good/affordable work. I will call him today some time and get back to you.
