ps- when you go to update how do you select which icon you want to use?!?! This is so different. :\

I've actually been pretty lucky and haven't had too many bad customers. Since our store is in the bookstore a lot of people who come in are mellow. :P

You select your icon above the entry. :)

Wow! that's so cute about the customer giving you the ring. I never had cute customers when i worked at the store. The only nice one once sat with me and showed me old retro photos of her family. She was pretty odd but i liked her...

How very odd... Maybe you should contact LJ support? What do you use to update your journal? A client or web interface?

I update it through Firefox...but now it hates me. If it keeps doing this, then I will beat up LJ support ask the support team.

Yeah, my mind is in the gutter 24/7 whether I'm awake or not. LOL

Hm. Are you using rich text formatting or just plain html? It sounds like it may be an LJ issue. If you can't seem to get around it then I suggest downloading the semagic client. :)
