I love my country I really do, I'm proud to be a Canadian and feel so blessed that I live in this part of the world. I love that we're a bilingual country and can celebrate diversity.

I made a call to my banks hotline or whatever to ask one simple question and it took me 17 minutes on the phone to hang up. I only spent about 3 minutes on hold.

The emergency thing sounds like Available Credit for Cash Advances. Which is you can get cash (think of an atm, I guess that is the best way to describe it - someone correct me...) and if you choose to use it, it will cost you the fee they mentioned. Plus, if I remember right an interest rate on top of that. It is expensive, it is not worth doing at least you really really... need to.
