I still can't quite believe it and neither can my parents. We're still in shock about the whole thing. My dad's doing a lot better than mum and I thought. It's going to be hard for him because it was just him and Jack at his place. She won't touch her dog food either...my dad's taking her to the vet eventually.

I presume Eowyn is fixed? In which case, it sounds like she's found a human friend to give her treats. You might ask your neighbors about her frequency at their houses.

Yeah, she's spayed. She likes to go down to this one house a couple of doors down. They were out today so I couldn't ask them, but I may go down there a little later.

*hugs* You're so right, pets are just not animals, they are our friends and companions. Your Jack will be missed by you and your family, but you'll see him later, on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. And I hope you find Eowyn soonish!

*hugs* I know exactly how you feel - me and my family went through the exact same thing about a year and a half ago. Our dog was doing so well for his age - he was about 14 - and all of a sudden he got very sick and went downhill very fast, and we had to let him go. We'd had him since I was about 10, he was very much a part of the family :(
And I know this is going to sound very trite, but it will get better with time. *hugs again*

Yep. I'm not as worried about it as last time, but still you worry like every mommy does. I think she has found a hidey hole or home or something. Either way grounding her didn't work.
