Yeah, Storm was whorsipped as a Goddess in Africa, she had presence in the comic. She wasn't unsure of herself, she knew what she had to do.

It was basically and 'all action' movie and not enough character development.

And is it just me or did you miss Alan Cumming's character of Nightcrawler? I know I did.

OT, but ... veronica_rich May 29 2006, 01:05:50 UTC
I’ll still buy the DVD… I can’t have a uncompleted collection

Re: incomplete DVD collections ... I don't know. I love the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie and will buy any version ever put out in the future. But I'm reserving judgment on the second and third movies. Seriously, if I don't like them, I won't buy them.

ITA completely. Too much going on, too many new characters not developed/utilized.

Whatever happened to little Ben Foster? Because whatever it is... it's good.

Umm...Serena?

Serena = Sir Ian. :)

I gathered it was Sir Ian from other comments but I guess I figured there was more of a story behind that nickname than just... his name :) LOL

Kitty, didn't like her. Maybe she'll grow on me, but for now I don't like her.
Hear hear!! I personally thought she ran a bit weird.

Did they really show Xavier at the end of the credits????

I stayed thru the credits because I read from several sources there was a "surprise." Then, lo and behold, the film ABRUPTLY turned off!!! I thought, though, considering Magneto at the chessboard...that that was the actual "surprise" that they had moved to in front of the credits so people could see it.

My brother is suggesting I go back and get my money back, or something to that effect.

They didn't show him physically, but he is alive.

I just read your review (I'd rushed to ask the ? above), and about Angel...I inferred that when he was young, he was trying to get rid of his wings for the sake of his father, and the sake of his father only, hence his rush to hide what he was doing....and that was the first time his father had found out, because Angel had been able to hide it up to then.

I felt, as I watched Iceman, that he was in effect cheating on Rogue. He was giving comfort to Kitty, but not his own girlfriend. I don't understand why she rushed out to get the "cure"---or why anyone did, for that matter. In any medical "cure" or treatment there needs to be testing and short and long term results first, and a logical person would wait a bit to see how the cure affected the testees ( ... )

It was entertaining as fuck, for what it was. I just walked out of the theatre finally knowing what it feels like to be one of those people who reads a book and then gets disappointed with the movie. It's funny, cause I'm not even an comic-nerd at that, but I have an attachment to them [esp. the Dark Phoenix saga] and the show ( ... )
