STARZ might have lost the bid?

I have no idea what's going on but no one else is posting, sooooo this is all I have:
❝ Bad news, I just talked to Starz and they said, "We did not get the license for LotS because it's been discontinued." So... I had such hopes. So others want the show but they can't get it because it's been "discontinued", which is saying it's been canceled and ( Read more... )

I had only read this:

On Monday 19th July 2010, @manders11685 said:

Just got off the phone w/Starz. They said that HAD been in negotiations for the license of #LegendoftheSeeker but received word an hour ago that they weren't able to acquire it, so they are no longer pursuing it. That's pretty much verbatim of what the guy told me. Sorry guys. =/ We need to pursue Directv from now on! #SaveOurSeeker #LotS

Confusing is right. In any case, I agree with the earlier comments, call staff publicly talking about that kind of decisions seems weird.

Did anything happen with the LOTS_Sponsor from the LotS forums that said they had the go ahead but had to wait for Disney-ABC to tell them when??

Nope, nothing happened with lots_sponser. Disney told them to hold off like you said because of the uncertain nature of the show right now, and there have been no developments since.

Or get with world-wide distribution already. Can you imagine what ratings would be like if we could buy the eps one by one as they came out worldwide?!

I hate having no say in this coz I'm not American :( :( :(

This is just so ridiculous... at this point that I have to believe there's some higher ranking person that got pissed off at LotS. It seems like someone's specifically trying to cockblock us, lol. Either that or Starz was just a little too late. I know the actors were under contract and if memory serves me right, wasn't it sometime in the middle of July when their contracts expired?
