Garnering More Attention

May 06, 2010 18:28

First off, I'd like to point out that I'm an LJ noob and this is the first thing I've ever posted here. Second, I want to say that I'm very proud of all who have contributed time, effort and money into this campaign. Your hard work and dedication has turned a bleak situation into a struggle to be reckoned with. ♥

And now that's over with...

I was reading this article (which was probably written largely because of us LotS fans anyway) when I came to a personal conclusion that, the way things are going now,  we probably aren't going to succeed in saving our Seeker without some changes.
I'm not at all suggesting it's because of a lack of effort on our part, I know for a fact that many of you have done so much for this campaign and I believe we still have a big chance of making an impact if we change our strategy a bit.
The problem with our campaign is simply numbers. We aren't reaching enough people to really make a difference right now. Yes, we have gotten the attention and support of some pretty high profile people (such as Felicia Day, Ben Lyons, and Damian Holbrook of TV Guide), but really, for our campaign to work, we still need to do so much more to get the attention needed to Save Our Seeker. Our campaign needs to press towards public knowledge more than anything else right now. How exactly we're to do this I haven't figured out yet, but like that article says, it needs to be drastic. We need to do something worthy of the likes of CNN.

I'd like for anyone with an idea to put it forward. We have so much to do and such a short amount of time to accomplish it I fear our efforts could be futile...
