I was about to scoff at a friend's love for music I don't much care for when murphy_slaw indicated, by reminding me of a song from a Flemish children's TV show I have forced him to listen to, that people who live in shoddily constructed glass shacks shouldn't throw anything. It's about a stuffed bunny rabbit

Just so you know, I read this before you edited it to remove the specific reference to my liking Sarah McLachlan today :) And also, it doesn't bother me one bit if you don't like my fave-of-the-day. I'm likely to have a new favorite you may or may not like tomorrow :)

Yes, but nowadays I try not to be mean without good reason, and me being mean about Sarah McLachlin is not likely to make me a whole lot happier or the world a much better place.

murphy_slaw did have an observation that was insightful, universally generalizable, true, and funny, and so is an ornament, however small, to human existence:

"Kevin's love of Sarah McLachlin will only end in tears."
