...actually, it's not so hard. because half the reason i like you is because you annoy me. or more specifically, you challenge me. you make me think, and use my brain, whether it be questioning how i think about you, about me, or about the rest of the world, you make me step back and really think about things. and that is a rare trait these days... and besides, you also have kick-ass taste in music.

how could i not like/love/and adore the person who helped me maintain what little sanity i had down in the land of the orange. and you proved that it wasn't just a bad experience that made us bond, but instead, it was the fact that you're intelligent and witty and we do have quite a bit in common. and i love the amusement you provide in your work anecdotes. they remind me of the crazy people i work with, and i hope i can come up with such smart replies...

...is part of why i love you. things never quite go according to plan for you. sometimes they work out better, sometimes worse, but through it all you have a way of laughing in the face of danger and getting away with it- but always with a war story or two. now, i can't say this is all the doing of a cruel world, you do sometimes bring such events upon yourself, but it never seems to get you down. besides, how could i not love someone who brushes their teeth at the same time as i do. and now that we're sharing a brain, well, you do the math...

You must have the entire brain today. It certainly isn't here. me been sick since Thursday night. Darn cold keeps morphing into some other form of cold. So no brain. :-( So definitely not doing math or thinking beyond "sleep...must sleep...but can't...at work...til 9pm..."

and i've sorta stopped with the random historic war story references....sorry. :-)

you are amazing in the music you send me, but that's a superficial reason to like you. more true to the heart, you are so calm and zen-like your mere presence is a comfort, a sense of home. no matter what's going on you don't rush, you just do what needs doing. but, you also have a great sense of humor, and the ability to crack me up- when no one else around seems to get it. but then again, many of our friends don't get our musical taste either. they're just weird that way... you 'get' the weird side of me that most people don't, and to top it off, you give the best hugs...

I read your other monster posts, and didn't want to sully them with comments, so I decided to sully this one. You don't have to tell me why you like/love/adore me (unless you really want to), but I did want you to know how happy I am that you've got good news.

I'll also say that this boy, whatever you might think, is totally into you. It's endearing that you would ever doubt it, but you shouldn't. Some advice: If things are moving too slowly, or if you just want to find out for sure, you should try hiding some ladies' underwear on him sometime. Trust me, it leaves quite an impression... Pardner.
