does anyone know how to set up a wireless router on a computer? i get my internet from the lady upstairs. shes already set to route to us...but i reloaded windows and all the info is missing now. i know that the info automatically loaded for us when we set it up for the first time...but now its not loading at all. im not sure what to do!

yeah, i tried that. with no luck. but alas! today my girlfriend decided to inform me that the wireless router was set up (by the landlords son while i was here at work and didnt know) with a CD. problem solved. all that effort for nothin. my lovely miss gillian somewhat knew without knowing all along that that was the reason it wasnt setting up properly. heh. im a dumbass.

It's a little difficult to answer this without a clear understanding of the network topology involved. Does she have a router and you're getting a single ethernet line off of it? Are you going to connect that line to a router of your own? Does the connection use DHCP?
