Well, there are aliens and creepy things in 'Star Wars'. In 'War of the Worlds' there are also very evil aliens, but you only see them at the end of the film... What about 'Spiderman'? I dunno! 'Lilo and Stitch'?! Or you could take inspiration from 'Bridget Jones' Diary'. Daniel Cleaver is a REAL insect. a COCKroach perhaps, or a maggott.
What about 'The Mummy'? Scarab beetles and locusts come in swarms in that film, plus undead people wrapped in bandages that roar :)
You might even consider 'The little shop of horrors'. The plant wasn't exactly human. It wasn't your average fungus either ;)
So, in short, I haven't got many ideas for you at 9.49pm on a Sunday night, but I might have something better tomorrow. Sleep well!

Wait! I just read my comment. Going back to the Daniel Cleaver thing, you could try and explore why we associate real bastards and assholes with insects. What is it about insects that we find repulsive?
Anyway, just throwing it out there, I hope thats not too far off the track :)

So far all I can really think of are the Psirens from Red Dwarf, which for some reason I can't find a picture of...I'll grab a screen cap and show you. Despite being from Red Dwarf, they are *quite* creepy. (The bonus of this is that psirens can alter your perception of them, and one of them makes Lister see them as a sort of 'femme fatale' character, so that's two in one!)

Ooh! And what about the praying mantis creature from that episode of Buffy? The one that Xander fell in love with?

And octopi aren't really in the same boat as insects, but the creature from Deep Rising is fairly damn weird. Monster Pic One Monster Pic Two

*sigh* This isn't very helpful. But at least they're pictures you can say you considered and then claim that, 'They didn't completely suit your theme...' or something.

As far as general femme fatales go, the female Goa'uld from Stargate always have amazing costumes.

Hathor

I can't find good photos of the others *angry face* I'll get back to you.

=D Hey that's aweeeeeesome! Thanks so much for actually trying to help me, which no-one else but my P-lo has bothered to do! The pictures of the Deep Rising monster are great, and they've got such a good clear resolution too! But unfortunetly It's a bit to plant like for my theme. Which is annoying because I totally "starred" in Little Shop of Horrors.

As for the praying mantis chick on Buffy, already thought of her! I'm attempting to borrow some Buffy DVDs off a friend and get screencaps, but it's annoying cos Buffy has a lot of potential, yet I don't really have time to scour through 7 seasons just for bug-lady pics.

AND The Hathor chick from Stargate is GREAT! It's exactly what I'm looking for - she's a sexy, evil looking woman, and the outfit show many elements of insectness, ie with the shiny and the layers and stuff. You ROCK!!!

Anything else would be greatly appreciated (especially of the femme fatale kind of genre), but you've done plenty! THANK THANK THANK YOU I LOVE YOU TO BITS YOU ROCKSORS!!!
