This has happened with me, not with River Cottage mind. I like him a lot, but I'm not very good with the farming sort of programmes. However I've found myself obsessed with other reality based stuff, The Great British Bake off was one, and Masterchef: The Professionals, I've decided I love Michel Roux Jnr. Plus we've just had Frozen Planet, which is a delight.
I hadn't put it together about being so burnt from TW, I knew I had lost interest in fiction, that's still true, and rarely watch it, I just watch documentaries, comedy and reality nowadays. Years ago I had a friend say to me that she didn't watch fiction, she couldn't relate to it or get involved, at the time I felt she was mad and couldn't get it
I still watch Dr Who, but don't find that much joy in it, it's fun, but most weeks I'm just a bit meh these days.

I think with me, I do still enjoy fiction. It's not like I've stopped engaging with it altogether; I still watch plenty of shows, and I read plenty of books. It's just that it doesn't feel as precious to me as it did before.

BTW did you ever put up your pics from the trip? I have a feeling you have a flickr account but I can't for the life of me remember what your username is.

As for pics from the trip -- I still haven't put up anything from after Wales, though it's been on my to-do list ever since we got back. And I do have a flickr account -- I'll email you the link.
