I think I'd definitely have to go with Pyromania. Need to qualify that though with the thought that the album that "brought you" to a group is frequently going to be the one that pulls at you the most.
True! Pyromania was the first for me, then High 'N' Dry got some re-play, and that became a favorite for me. So while Pyromania is my favorite album, my favorite song is from my second favorite album. :)
Exactly. At the time, OK I could see them classified as metal. But after hearing much heavier stuff after that, I can only think of them as a rock band. One of my favorites, to be sure.
I forgot the pink above :( BUT ANYWAY!!!! Fav song is Photograph, which WAS a tie for Bringin on th Heartbreak, until I heard a cover of it. by Miriah Carey! 0_o
I don't know enough about music to do a decent job at explaining why I like it. I can just do things like "OK, I really like this part coming up. Oh, and here... this is really great... ah! The nrr-nrr-NRR of the guitars makes me happy here."
Another favorite song pair of mine is Foreplay/Long Time by Boston.

I guess back then I thought of them as metal, but now in retrospect, I would classify 'em as rock too.
When I hear "metal" - I think of --- Megadeth was it? with Aces High? And KISS? Just.. louder... heavier.. more screaming... ;)

Lessee...... I guess.... I'm gonna have to go with Rock. Not really metal, just a gateway drug band.

And you may be the only person on the planet besides me who recognizes the ...complex...simplicity... which makes Switch 625 a great instrumental.
