Just got back from the emergency vet. Dilly died on the way to the vet. I don't know what was wrong for sure but the vet guesses some sort of GI issue as this is common in bunnies. My aunt raised show rabbits for years and years and we had a couple ourselves growing up. We spent summers on her farm and I can't even remember how many times she lost a rabbit for this reason. They're such quiet, docile animals that a lot of time you don't know anything is wrong until it's too late.

I really wouldn't blame yourself. Last night was your first sign and anybody reasonable would have just monitored her for the next twenty-four hours to see if she needed to go to the vet.

I'm so very sorry that you lost her, though.
