So in 2023 I read and finished 71 books, plus 2 very short stories, and didn’t finish 2 books for various reasons. All of this doesn't include any Bible or fanfic reading

Oh - I didn't know the Alex Wagner books were translated into English, I read them years ago in German.

I'm reading "Fatal Legacy" at the moment ... somehow I missed it when it came out.

I didn't realise they were originally German, lol! It probably says that somewhere, but me being me, I didn't notice. Good to know!

I think the author is from Austria, Vindobona is Vienna!

where did you find the martha wells murderbot short story 'compulsory'? i havent found that one yet. (i get my books from the library and they don't have it and i haven't found a place i can get it for free.) i LOVE the murderbot series.

it would be interesting to see your books listed by genre as well. i'm extra interested in animal books.

The two short stories are available on Kindle if you have one or know someone you can borrow one from. 'Compulsory' is only 77p on our Amazon, and very short (8 pages), so if you did need to borrow you wouldn't need the Kindle for long, could even read it with said person there!

I loved The Speckled Beauty by Rick Bragg. it's one of my favourite books of all time.
Apart from the Murderbot books, that was the only book on your list that I had read.

I read up a storm in 2023
