That tiny, and that non-venomous, they're actually kinda cute!! The first one, though, reminds me entirely too much of the 5- foot(ish)-long rat snake that was on our back porch a couple years or so agp -- he was up the side of the house and onto the "rafters"/beams of the porch covering before I even knew he was around, and then he moved all over the place before the animal control people arrived to get him. (I'm just glad I was sitting in a spot I could see him; he could have easily come in thru the pet door, and he was obviously on the hunt for food.) I hurriedly put down the pet door and made sure all our furry people were inside. I'm not totally freaked out by snakes (esp. since I was pretty sure he wasn't venomous, either), but that was just... *shudder* I have a pic if you want to see! ;-) LOL

Snakes can be cute, but yeah, I think I'd be less enthused if one was trying to come into the house!!

I don't mind seeing a pic. Snakes are fine, spiders... not so much!

Yeah, I think they're fascinating, but *not in my house* and also, not *loose* in the house, especially!! Yeesh!! It's bad enough when the dogs/cats have brought dead squirrels inside, but at least they weren't going anywhere!! :-P

Here's our snake. I think it'd been hanging around for awhile; we'd found a hung snake skin on our front porch the previous summer. And that thing was *fast* it got all the way across our yard and into the alley in literally seconds. That's where the animal control guys found it (they didn't kill it; they just put it somewhere with no people around). I pretty well knew he wasn't venomous; wrong-shaped head and all, but he was certainly big enough to have hurt one of the fur-babies if he felt cornered. :-/

Oh yeah, he wouldn't be welcome around here - not that that will happen, living in the UK! The only snakes I'm liable to see are grass snakes (unlikely) and adders (unheard of around here)!

Thanks. I like them both; but, of course, especially the little cute one.

That snake looks really cute, though I'm sure hubby would still run a mile if he saw it LOL.
