So I'd just finished mainlining all seven seasons of Burn Notice (liked the first six, not so keen on the seventh, in case you're wondering) and I was just thinking I could get out of 'must-watch-next-episode' mode for a while ... and then I started watching Elementary and I'm hooked - not in a fannish way, but in a 'must-watch-next-episode' way (

I'm in the minority of actually enjoying Elementary more than the BBC Sherlock, mostly because, as you say, their Sherlock is much more human. But I'm still unsure about the show. I once tried vidding it, and it made me quite frustrated with the show (though it's still on my list of things to do.. )

Yeah, I can see why people might like him better. For me, I like them both about the same.

If you manage to vid Elementary, I'd watch it!

I love it when a show grabs you so you have to watch it all ASAP! I'm glad you liked BN :) I haven't seen it yet :o

Yep, Elementary has definitely grabbed me, as did BN! I think Elementary is the better show, but BN is a lot of fun (explosions galore)! :)

I've watched one episode of Elementary and it showed promise but I couldn't get past a female Watson, it just felt wrong somehow.

Not everyone can, but for me, she really works - especially as the seasons progress. Each to their own!
