Ooooh, what a cutie! And the way he gets nervous when the hawk catches the budgie... he's so sweet! Thanks for posting!

And he likes Luna! Does he guard her (the way displaying/ mating cockatiels do)?

Glad you enjoyed it!

He doesn't 'guard' her, but he will chase the other budgies (including Pippin!) away from her. And he sings to her all the time. XD

I'm calling them the terrible two at the moment because they are the wicked willful ones! When it's time for all the birds to go back in their cages, we have no problems with any of the others, but Luna and Spike seem to incite and follow each other to greater heights of disobedience. LOL!

Poor Spike will be getting his wings clipped next week. I hate having to do it - he is SO proud of his flying skills! But it's Spring here now, and the chances of this masterful flier getting out a door have risen exponentially. :~P

LOL. My cockatiel could learn a lesson or two from them, as he prefers sitting inside his cage. I really have to force him out.

Wing clipping? Oh no! Poor dear! Will the budgies have to undergo this procedure, too? On the other hand, the wings will grow again (or so I hope).

Oh, yes, the feathers definitely grow back! The two youngest (and not quite hand tame) budgies are clipped, and Spike was clipped, but his grew back really quickly. And I get someone else to do it so he doesn't hate ME. ;~P

I have a cockatoo that can be entertained by giving her a shortbread cookie and putting her in front of Sesame Street.

I use to be able to get a solid 20 minutes of quiet time as she watches SS and eats her cookie.

Sadly I can never find S.S on the telly and other puppet shows don't hold her attention as much as good ol' Grover did.

This was adorable.

OMG! That sounds just like what I went through with my eldest son when he was little! LOL! I used to fill 3hr tapes with 'Street' (as he used to call it) eps. and we always had something to keep him occupied if necessary!

And it took him years before he 'graduated' to the Muppet show! For a long time he would flee the room in terror whenever it came on! XD

I don't know what is sweeter, his reaction or your baby talk to him.

Heh. They have SO much personality, and it's amazing how easy it is to slip back into the 'age appropriate' talk. ;~)
