I *immediately* thought of Jo, looking at this, so I'd say you succeeded!! It's gorgeous, honey. And I'd say if you wanted to enter it, you'd have a damned good shot at winning!!!
Wow. Yes, that looks very much like JKR. I scrolled by fast and thought "Oh! JKR's done another photo shoot thingy," so I came back to see...and she obviously hasn't. VERY nice!
Oh yes that looks like her! The larger version is more obvious too. You say you spent an entire day on her necklace? May I ask you what your art piece dimensions are in PS? Was it very large to work with since you're printing it?
The painting is A3 (11.7" × 16.5"), so yeah, it's pretty big. It would get to 300+meg and I'd have to condense the layers! Then it would get big again...and so on. :~P The necklace she's wearing now didn't take me a day to do (that took me maybe 10 mins!); it was all the trial efforts before this finished one that took so long. There was a Tudor-y looking one that had loads of pearls, and an intricate LOTR style one that I really liked cos I was able to work in snakes and gems for the house colours, but they just didn't match the rest of the painting.

omg, 300 MB *and* you had to condense the layers? You must have a good computer. I think mine slows down past 125MB so I never draw for print unfortunately! But wow, that's a lot of work I assume.
