Hee! Jamie's favorite episode changed every time someone asked him, bless his heart. He also named, at various times, Black Market (!?!), Taking a Break from All Your Worries (?!?!?!?!?!?), and the Crossroads two-parter (yay!). I'd say Crossroads and 33 were good choices, and the rest I pass over in silence :)
I have to admit that I groan every time I think of him saying TABFYW was his favorite. I guess as an actor, he got to stretch himself to new material, but sheesh. Has he watched it? I don't think it's just the K/L shipper in me, but I am not a fan. So overly dramatic. I just can't imagine Lee crawling around the floor drunk any more than I can imagine him eating his way through his pain. Oh, RDM, why don't you know your characters. Blargh.
I agree about loving "33." In addition to its powerful presentation of the main dramatic conflict for the entire series, Lee has all sorts of emotional beats in this ep. Ususally he just gets to play one or two, but here he made a great many - the solid leader in the field, the comedian, the sexy flirt, the stammering school boy, the "am I in over my head" exhausted leader, the stoic loner with the tough decisions, the unsure son... and JB hit them all out of the park.
I love seeing him grow in to his role as CAG over the course of the first series, but especially over the course of this episode. I think the confrontation with Kara is possibly the turning point in this episode as far as that goes. I think she says to him some of the things that he needed to hear at that point. Talk about a baptism by fire though :)
Edited, because my brain is apparently not in gear enough to be anywhere close to coherent.

"Those do appear to be the facts, sir."
"Yeah, but they're the wrong facts! They're stupid facts!"
But I guess stupid facts are better than none :)
