Gobble-gobble Bush Turkey

My blood test results came back, and something is abnormal, but the receptionist couldn't tell me what. I have to wait until Friday when I see the doctor to find out. Of course, my mind is racing, and I'm busy consulting Dr. Google :P Actually, what stimulated my searching was the fact that often when I wake up in the morning, I have violently ( Read more... )

Don't you HATE it when doctors do that? Next time, tell them to tell you right away because all it does is increase your anxiety when they don't. Hoping it's something as simple as a vitamin deficiency.

Both of my kitties are indoor kitties - it always makes me sad when I see outdoor kitties. I mean, you can make a fenced-in run for them if you're that insistent on them being outside. We don't let our dogs run free, why should our cats run free? It's not good for them, and not good for the wildlife, I agree.

Your turkeys look a bit different than ours, head-wise. Next time I am up at my grandfather's, I'll take a few pictures of them for you if they show up.

Yes, I really hate it! Fair enough if they want me to come in and discuss the diagnosis with them, but at least (to reduce anxiety) tell me on the phone that it's nothing serious.

I found out that I've had Eppstein-Barr, and I currently had Cytomegalovirus - the doctor said normally people don't get symptoms, but sometimes people can suffer from a Chronic-Fatigue like syndrome after having these viruses. My vitamin B, D and iron were all on the low side of normal :) So nothing wrong there yet.

Looking forward to seeing your turkeys :) A lot of people here don't like bush turkeys. Is it the same in the US?

Oh, and I love the photo of you and your hoof-baby :D
