Ferdia's away in Cork this weekend so I did the whole 'sliding across the floor in pants, socks and sunglasses' bit, then decided it was altogther too cold for that sort of thing, put a pizza in the oven, locked the cat on a cupboard and painted the skirting

Just BEWARE that they don't sell you too much fabric. I think it's a pretty good deal if they come and measure too.

how would i know what was too much fabric? They quoted for two and a half widths per curtain, we've taken them down to two widths, on the basis that it's such a tight wee bay that it's going to look gathered and sumptuous even if it is a bit mean, width ways.

the old quote we had for two widths per curtain came out at 12 odd metres, but this quote, also for two widths per curtain came out at 13 odd metres. The fabric width is much the same although the pattern repeat is totally different. Why would that be? have we been sold too much? erk!
