Looks like Celeste and Mary have something in common. Dr Lofthouse is trying to convince people that Mary IS a witch. So she has to make sure that no one believes it without ever admiting she is being accused of it. But she is most proud of her children. Being a good wife and mother is the most important accomplishment in her life.
