 I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to make an LJ Smooth Sailing layout compatible with IJ, somehow? (I'm working on moving over there and am having trouble setting up the layout I want.)

Yes! There is a way to set up a smooth sailing layout on IJ (though you might need to have a paid account to do custom layers, I'm not sure, but IJ paid/permanent accounts are definitely worth the money, and are considerably cheaper than LJ anyway [permanent accounts will only be available through the rest of February, btw]). I have two journals on IJ that I have set up on Smooth Sailing layouts.

There is a tutorial here on how to create your own layouts for several LJ layouts that are not available on GreatestJournal. Just follow the instructions--it works exactly the same on IJ as it does for GJ
