*hugs* That's terrible news, are the doctors reasonably sure that they're getting it this time? I hate it when they miss stuff like that. Good luck, I hope your fever starts coming down..
They're sure, they're just not willing yo say anything about how long all this might take. It's just that it is not this one single thing we're all dealing with over here. My own main concern right now are my bad veins (I'd be a really inept druggie...) and all the grief connected to that over a hospital stay this long...
Oh suckety suck suck. Eeek. I hate bacteria. I had a brush with bacteria on regular basis, every year at least once - because I'm infection prone due to my regular therapy.
Just hang in there. Do crosswords or read something light and funny and sleep a lot. If there's an mp3 player, listen to music. Those are the best things to do in a hospital - trust me, i've been there LOTS of times.
Yeah, I don't know how people who have to do hospitals more often and over longer periods make it... I've never been in a hospital like this (had my tonsils out when in high school, but that was like a 4-day deal) and it's driving me absolutely bonkers.
You must be almighty to survive all that and not go nuts.
I think sure signs of actually getting better would do miracles for dragging me off the pathway to Crazyville. It's the "nothing changes" part that makes you feel like you're never getting out of here...
At least got transferred back to regular ward today. That must be a good sign or something...
I was *just* thinking about you last night! so sorry you're still being fought by the nasties. keep your spirits up..think of John. {{HUG}} to you and your mum
Thanks. We're trying to hang in there. Hopefully I'll get out next week, but I've learned not to get my hopes up too high in here. At least I'm out of the ICU and back at the regular ward again.
Bad luck, indeed. I was feeling better already and then it all went to hell again. Am slowly climbing my way out of there now, but I don't know how long it will take.

I'm so glad to hear you're getting better - and that they've finally got everything.
I hope you don't go too crazy!
